6:00 - 7:15 pm |
If the weather's nice, take a stroll from the hotel down to Old Montreal, where you can see the original streets and buildings that were constructed when Montreal was established. Walk around and visit the small shops and become part of the activity that makes Old Montreal so lively. Catch the street performers, look at the art shows, and enjoy the old part of the city.
If the weather is rainy, take a short cab ride from the front of the hotel directly to the restaurant. The rain will probably lighten up after the show so that you can walk around a bit after the show. |

LE FESTIN DU GOUVERNEUR SHOW
AT THE RESTAURANT LE VAUQUELIN
(La Vieille France)
52, St-Jacques street West
Old-Montréal, Québec, Canada
The Show of Le Festin du Gouverneur is now presented at the restaurant Le Vauquelin located in Old-Montreal.
Our show will allow you to spend an unforgettable evening with the 1st Mayor of Montreal: Mr. Jacques Viger, and some members of the Municipal counsel who all happened to be fine entertainers, singers and musicians.
Bilingual, humoristic, interactive and historical, the show is suitable for all ages. People across the world come to see these folks over and over again… since more than 30 years.
Watch! As all around you the story unfolds. Huge stone fireplaces cast shadows to and fro, while an lively cast of colorful characters present surprise upon surprise.
Listen! From one corner laughter rises. From another, light operetta, rousing French Canadian folk songs, and lilting Irish ballads sally forth. The great hall reverberates! Clapping hands and dancing feet and round after round of "Vive la compagnie".
Le Festin du Gouverneur Show offers you the Québec experience and Montréal's proud heritage at its most engaging and rewarding, not only because of the era that we recreate with our comedy, songs and costumes but also because of it’s location in an old historical and patrimonial house built in 1730 right in the heart of the Old-Montreal.
So, come and enjoy our legendary “joie de vivre” and our fine French cuisine. |
